Nagios 3.5.0 segfaulting at midnight

Some extra info:
I have log rotation set to daily, and it doesn't rotate anymore. The
nagios installs live at different timezones and the crash is always at
local (to the machine) midnight. Seems to me that something breaks in the
log rotation (did no changes there, and rights are ok).
