I have an rpm with the patch included for epel6/x86_64 right here: http://pall.sigurdsson.is/filez/nagios-3.5.0/

It fixed same problem for me.

Can someone please prod the nagios dev team to release a new version that fixes the bug ?

I can't believe I did not mention this.

3.4.4 under RHEL but it looks like (just noticed) 3.5.0 is up on epel
now so I could upgrade.

Indeed I do use check_mk for passive/web interface.

I will search the archives. I did some google searching using various
keyboards but did not come up with something useful.
