Nagios 3.4.1 keeps sending notifications for hosts and service(s) in scheduled shutdown time

  - After upgrading to 3.4.1 I have the problem that NAGIOS sends out
(bogus?) notifications for hosts
and services which are in scheduled shutdown period.
I had to DOWNGRADE to 3.3.1 , to get the expected behavior w.r.t no
notifications being send during a scheduled
shutdown for a particular host or service.

                      Most probably this isn't a bug ; but I wonder how to
solve this problem :

   - Basically I only (used 'configure -prefix;make , make install) ; no
special configure options
are being used. This makes me ponder :

                     1) Do I need to (re)-intialize my Nagios installation
even further besides those steps,
being mentioned , which were executed for the upgrade-process ?

                     2) Am I using outdated default-template (settings)
somewhere ?

                     3) Anything else -> ?

Tx for all hints.

M.
