Email-Web interface contradiction

Howdy,

I have a Nagios 2.10 installation that has sent me email (see below for text) today saying that a host is down. The problem is that the web interface says the host hasn't been checked in a week, and isn't scheduled to be checked again. Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?
