I don't think you can do exactly what you are proposing, but you might consider this alternative ...

Subject: [Nagios-users] Create services dynamically for a specific host

Hi,

I have some 150 services that I wish to monitor using passive checks to Nagios.

Is it possible for Nagios to dynamically display these services as it received the check without specifying the exact service name in the configuration?

Please suggest if there is any way out to get this done.

Thanks & Regards,
Sakshi Anand
