Use NSClient++ with NRPE for active checks, initiated by the Nagios server,
or NSCA for passive checks sent by the Windows box. The decision to use NRPE
or NSCA depends among other things on what kind of control you have over
firewalls on either end (it might be easier to have your Windows server
connect out to your Nagios server and send_nsca results in cases where you
can't allow inbound NRPE)
