NRPE checks from multiple Nagios hosts

what do you mean with "clobber"? 

We are doing just that here at a customer. It just works.

You could get problems if you run checks that are requesting the result from a 
counter, which will get set to zero after calling the plugin through nrpe.

But with normal checks you should get no problems.
