Well, for you are trying to modify the value nagios gets after the snmpget and not the nagios output [OK, CRITICAL, etc etc] . I doubt there
wouldn't be an actual way of doing it after nagios had already executed the plugin. Rather you could go recode check_snmp.c to suit your needs
cutting out all the other crap.

Moreover it would be more better if you could add one more parameter that takes the multiplication unit to your modded check_snmp.c
