All, thank you to eveyone who responded to questions asked here over the past few days. I have been trying to get nagios-3.0.6 installed through using RPMs unsucessfully(building my own - or trying). I finally gave up and just followed the instructions for compiling code from http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/quickstart-fedora.html Everything is up & appears to be operational and I got it done in less than an hour woohoo! I have nagios 2.11 running on another machine but wanted a fresh install since that install was not done with defaults. Thanks Everyone!
