Nagios 3.0.6 Fails to play sound in browser!

Hi,
 
I am using Nagios 3.0.6
OS : RHEL4 Update 4
 
Problem: after configuring nagios and when accessing it from a client mechine (winXP) firefox or IE browser, nagios fails to play sound when there is an alert. but if i degrade nagios to a nagios version 2.x sound problem is gone! can anybody tell me how to fix this issue in nagios 3.0.6 and succefully play alert sound, which is currnetly the stable release.
