missing pnp graphs

I have a test box to try pnp. For some reason, the graphs for
performance data are showing with a red x.

I only have the default localhost with the other default install files;
made adjustments to enable perfdata (default mode).

Under the perfdata folder there is a localhost folder with rrd and xml
files for each service so I know that part is working; not sure what I'm
missing.

Screenshot attached.

Config:

CentOS 5.3

Apache 2.2.11

PHP 5.2.9-2 (compiled with zlib and gd)

Nagios 3.1.0

PNP 0.4.13

Perl 5.8.8

RRD 1.3.7
