CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 30 seconds (-) forcheck_http nagios plugin

Did you use -p 8888 in your command to specify the port?

If you don't use -p it will default to 80.

Hi

I have a weird issue here on a particular host for jboss service running
on port 8888. I am using check_http Nagios Plugin.I get the below
notifications.

CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 30 seconds (-) for check_http nagios
plugin. 

I have increased the -t parameter value from 15 secs to 30 secs in
check_http plugin.There is no issue of load too. 
Not able to figure out whats causing this issue.

Please suggest.
