Nagios CGI Configuration not Synchronizing

It sounds like you may not have properly configured htaccess for the  
_sbin_ directory. You're likely being prompted to login for access to  
the menu (share directory) but not for the cgi's (sbin directory).  
Since it's the cgi's that require access the the auth information, and  
are not finding it, they're falling back to your default username  
specified in cgi.cfg.
