how to get rid of "Pending" in Status Map? Nagios 3.0.5

Hi.  How can I get rid of all the "Pending" labels in my Nagios 3.0.5
statusmap, please?

For each host, under "Host State Information" (as returned by
extinfo.cgi), it says

"This has has not yet been checked, so status information is not available."

However I have half a dozen services being checked on this host and
they are all green.

So how can I get rid of the Pending label in the Status Map, please?
