Subject: [Nagios-users] Nagios Notifications

Hi All,

We have configured the Nagios Setup and is working fine. Is there any
provision in Nagios with which we can disable the Nagios
checks/notifications during certain time period of the day ?
I have seen the timeperiod options but the examples only show the
provision for holidays or so. Can we bypass lets say few hrs in between
everyday??
Thers is another option for Scheduled Downtimes but these are not
recurring. Some setting with which we can disable Nagios check or
notification for few hours everyday?
Kindly suggest.

if you take a look in the eventhandlers directory, you'll find a couple
of scripts that can be run from cron to disable and enable service
checks.

enable_active_service_checks and disable_active_service_checks are their
names.

we use them to disable checks during monthly patch time.
