Configuring pnp4nagios questions

Hi there -

 

We are running Nagios 2.6, and I am going through the motions of configuring
pnp4nagios on it.

I have come to the step in the procedure where I set up the nagios web frontend.
The templates

that need to be configured are shown below:

 

define host {
  name       host-pnp
  register   0
  action_url /nagios/pnp/index.php?host=$HOSTNAME$
}
 
define service {
  name       srv-pnp
  register   0
  action_url /nagios/pnp/index.php?host=$HOSTNAME$&srv=$SERVICEDESC$
}
 
I had two questions concerning the templates:
 
1.       What file(s) do I need to modify to properly configure pnp4nagios to
operate correctly with
the Nagios application?
2.       Do the above definitions need to be individually applied to all hosts,
or will they automatically 
      cover all hosts that are currently, and in the future will be, monitored
by the Nagios server?
