Nagios plugins 1.4.11 compilation error: Linux Debian 2.6.22-14-sparc64

Hello everybody.

My system is Linux Debian 2.6.22-14-sparc64.

I've downloaded the latest nagios plugins (1.4.11) and got an error on
./configure

 

configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
