If you use any sort of SMTP checkup in your Cisco device then you should
count yourself lucky only the Nagios traffic is impaired.

SMTP is broken is so many ways inside Cisco equipment I can only
recommend to disable it completely and protect your SMTP traffic with a
real solution.
