Oracle remote monitoring

I believe NRPE is configured correctly on both because I can run other nrpe checks like users and disk space from the monitoring host and get good return values. There are no firewalls. What is the debug mode?

Do you have nrpe configured correctly on both hosts? Nrpe has a debug mode, activate it and have a look in the logs.
Is a firewall running?

Some more input would be nice.
