a3 == Alpha 3 == not ready for production use. Bugs/crashes to be
expected. Even the more recent RC releases are meant for bug hunting.
They're more stable but if you have crash-aversion, you should still be
using 2.x.

That being said, if you're still up for it, try the latest release and
report any problems that you experience with as much detail as possible
on how to reproduce them.
