monitor any process/service which runs on linux box using nagios

[nagios nagios]

Hi,

i guess nrpe service is not running , i created the file as mentioned in the
README file n placed it under/etc/xinetd.d/ , how we can make it run ????
yes port is opened n i entered in /etc/service file.
