Indeed. I used it in the past. I used SNMPTT for trap translations with
submit_check_result (script bundled with Nagios) to send back results to
Nagios. You can also export the configs from evntwin and import them
directly to remote servers with evntcmd.

While this is only a matter of preference, I used Volatile service
leaving active checks on. The active check command runs something like
'check_dummy 0 "Trap reset on $LONGDADETIME$"' so that by forcing an
active check you can reset the Trap service to the OK state (another
option I guess would be to have it set as a passive check with freshness
checking with the same active command but I haven't tried that).
