Compare nagios.cfg parameteres between 1.4.1 e 2.10

Hi all .
 
I am looking at the differences between 1.4.1 and 2.10,including the default
values.
 
Here there are some compared parameters :
 
Nagios 1.4.1 (used actually) :
service_reaper_frequency=1
sleep_time=1
retention_update_interval=0
use_retained_program_state=0
check_for_orphaned_services=0
aggregate_status_updates=0
 
Nagios 2.10 (defaults after installation) :
service_reaper_frequency=10
sleep_time=0.25
retention_update_interval=60
use_retained_program_state=1
check_for_orphaned_services=1
aggregate_status_updates=1
 
Do you see any performance (or other  aspects) improvement ???
I have about 400 hosts and 1000 services
