Manage Cisco Interfaces

Sorry I have not been able to respond to this. Here we go...

I have Nagios 3.0b5 installed running on Open source SuSe. I am trying to
use a PERL plug-in to get interface statistics off a Cisco switch that has a
Gigabit Interface (Not uncommon these days).  The command is as follows;

./check_snmp_int.pl -H 192.168.xxx.xxx -C xxxxxx -n GigabitEthernet1/0/24 -k
-w 100,50 -c 0,0 -f and I get the output below.

GigabitEthernet1/0/24:UP No usable data on file (9 rows) :(1 UP): UNKNOWN |
'GigabitEthernet1/0/24_in_octet'=2876223019c
'GigabitEthernet1/0/24_out_octet'=754610251c

I have tried to use the standard SNMP plugins and also the Cisco developed
plugins, but they don't support this type of interface. I can use a command
to look at the OID's but am concerned if the configuration is blown away,
that the indexes will change.

Hope this helps you to help me.

All the best - Mike

You can start helping yourself by stating what you have done to make it
work. What results you have seen. What Nagios version.

Hugo.
