Alex,

since the difference between the two values is a 'factor 8', I think 
it's quite clear. Both values are right, except that the plugin 
check_iftraffic gives you the values in kbytes/second and cacti in 
kbits/second. Since 1 byte = 8 bits, that's explains the problem.
So, if you want both to be the same, you'll have to adept one of them.
