Change your mail server config to strip the hostname and just leave the 
domainname.

In postfix this is called masquerading domains. You haven't mentioned 
what mail server you have, but this should get you googling.

Another options is to replace the misccommand that mails to use another 
mail client that lets you specify the sender address...
