Limit notification number

Hi All,

I configured my new Nagios (2.9), it works good. How can I limit the number of notifications (host or service,also)?
For example, if nagios sent three email, than don't send any notification (sms, email...).

It is possible?

I read the docs, and I found the host|service escalation, but it's not that, what I want.
