NDOutils installation problem

OK, I managed to fix this (I had to install mysql_dev) and restarted the 
machine.  Nagios starts with the boot scripts, but when I run:

/usr/local/nagios/bin/ndo2db-3x -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/ndo2db.cfg
==============================================

to start the demon it brings back this error:

$ sudo /usr/local/nagios/bin/ndo2db-3x -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/ndo2db.cfg
Could not bind socket: Address already in use
==============================================

I cannot see anything like ndo2db-3x running under ps.  How do I fix this one?
