Host check command interval

Hi,

Apologies for the overly simple question, but how does one control the
interval at which host command check attempts are executed? I'm working
on a plugin that will power-on a host if the check command fails.
Unfortunately, it looks like each attempt occurs 3 seconds after the
previous one. Given how long it may take to power on a host, I exceed
the max attempts before the machine is restored, resulting in a HARD
state that shouldn't occur.

For what it's worth, the plugin is non-blocking. So, even if it takes
the machine several minutes to power-up, the script execution will only
be about 5 seconds. I presume this may be part of my problem.

Thanks for any help,
Kevin
