Remote Linux Client Appears Down But ServicesAreMonitored

If I understand you correctly, you are referring to the check-host-alive command
in the hosts.cfg file. I'm sorry if I sound like and idiot, but there is no
check_host_alive plugin in the libexec directory. What command should I run in
this case? 

I did run the plugins on the server and client as the nagios user, and both 
came back without errors.
