getting snmp traps set on nagios

Ok I have nagios 2.4 

My nagios is working fine just need some additional the docs I don't
understand in nagios

 

I am trying to get snmp on nagios at least get the logs working I have
downloaded snmptt some beta version 1.2 but I don't know how to
correlate it with nagios.

 

For instructions and if someone has snmp traps set up and would like to
share how they set it up would be nice
