Child process crashing on notifications if not in daemon mode

Hi,

Another small issue with Nagios3 rc1 on FreeBSD 5.4; Every time it
tries to send a notification, the child process core dumps and the
notification does not get sent. This happens regardless of the
command_line for the notification (i.e. even if it is just "echo
hello").

This does *not* happen in daemon mode, so it is not an issue for most
scenarios, but some people may not want to run in daemon mode for some
reason (i.e. run from daemontools etc).

Here is a log entry, from a manually forced notification (same thing
happens with an internally generated notification)

Dec 31 16:04:26 tabasco nagios: HOST NOTIFICATION:
nagiosadmin;XXXXX.XXXXX.net;CUSTOM (DOWN);notify-host-by-email;FPING
CRITICAL - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (loss=100% );alex;wib wob
Dec 31 16:04:26 tabasco kernel: pid 37696 (nagios), uid 1004: exited
on signal 11

Thanks,

Alex
