Hi,

have been trying to install nagios to RHEL x86-64 arch.
have installed: gd, gd-devel, jpeg,jpeg-devel, zlib, png, png-devel
and gcc as well.

Issuing the configure command got the following error:
./configure -with-gd-lib=/usr/lib --with-gd-inc=/usr/include

checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error:

See `config.log' for more details.

in the config.log:

It was created by configure, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.59. Invocation command line was

  $ ./configure -with-gd-lib=/usr/lib --with-gd-inc=/usr/include
