Hi,

I think Ethan announced this on the Nagios Conference as a new feature 
of 3.0. But I'm not shure if it's for 3.0 since it isn't mentioned in 
the slides.

In a later version timeperiods can be defined on special date basis.

I think it was like

define timeperiod{
       timeperiod_name   24x7
       alias         ever
       monday        00:00-24:00
       tuesday       00:00-24:00
...
       2006-12-25    10:00-17:00
}
