Host-to-service dependency

Dear List,

dependencies from service to service and from host to host
are no problem at all, but I like to make a Host-Check dependend
from an Service.

In detail:
a host check can just be successful, if the dns server is available.
i can make dependencies between all services on the host and the
dns check, but this will still result in a HOST DOWN warning.

Is there any possibility to make a dependency setting, that prior
to the HOST DOWN notification the availability of the DNS service
is checked?
