active service checks and host statses

Hi there!

host1 with IP address 172.21.1.100 has disabled active host cheks and 
a service called PING.
When a state of the SERVICE check PING chenges HARD (ie from OK to 
CRITICAL and vice versa), I'd like to see a change in a HOST state 
(from UP to DOWN/UNREACHABLE).
Is there any configuration tricks in service and host configuration of 
Nagios to achieve such schema?
