nagios pages to verizon / blackberries

I have it working.  In my sendpage.cf I have:

[pc:verizon]
phonenum=9,18668230501
stricttap=true

I haven't made it that far yet. I having issues with the handshake
between sendpage and Verizon:
Jun 19 16:20:07 cacti sendpage[15505]: lost carrier during chat
Jun 19 16:20:07 cacti sendpage[15505]: PC did not send 'ID=' tag
Jun 19 16:20:07 cacti sendpage[15505]: proto startup failed (Could not
perform protocol startup)

However, I saw 1-2 posts on the sendpage list reporting a problem
similar to yours. So I was wondering if I was wasting my time with
this whole thing.

Hey, have you tried the "Verizon US (cell phones)" number on this list?
