Measure the bandwidth between two servers

Hi
I have to servers and I want to measure the bandwidth between two
servers. If the bandwidth drops from some level a warning should be
generted. There is some plugin that do this?
If not, which approach do you suggest to get this information?

I need to know the roud-trip delay time (RTT) but for a tcp connection.
There is such a TCP-ping? 

Still the most important is to know the bandwidth capacity between the 2
servers.
