nagios does not start

Do the conf check on nagios.cfg (after uncommenting the host.cfg option in
the nagios.cfg) cause when I did it on these other cfg files it every
uncommented line seems to be an error.

/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v nagios.cfg

in /usr/local/nagios/etc

it will point out the errors.
