Scheduled downtime comments

Morten,

I think the problem you are having is the strange way in which
downtime-comments work:

When you schedule downtime, Nagios automatically generates a message
like 'This host has been scheduled for downtime ...' or something
similar. This message is called a comment, and is shown in the
comments-view. The user-defined downtime message is called 'downtime'
and is shown in de downtime-view. These views can be accessed from the
Nagios sidebar.

Please check both these views and see if the users downtime comment can
be found in the Downtime-view.

Anyone know how to get around this?
Author "nagios process" overwrites the commentfield value so the users
can not place a comment while scheduling downtime.
Now they have to schedule downtime and then post a comment after.

Hi.

I have question about the "comment" field used when scheduling downtime
for a host.
Users can schedule downtime, but afterwards when you view the host in
nagios you don't see the users comment. Instead you get something like

"This host has been scheduled for fixed downtime from 2006-01-18
11:39:33 to 2006-03-18 13:39:33. Notifications for the host will not be
sent out during that time period."

Any easy way to add usercomments to this comment-field as well?

Thanks in advance,
Morten.
