You still haven't provided information where we could actually help.
What does the log say, what's the output when the service goes
critical, what are the service definitions, can you run the service
check by hand etc. Until you give details, there's no way we can give
answers.
Saying your setup is 'basic' is so vague as to be laughable. Your
question currently amounts to "I drive a late model ford that won't
start this morning. Why?"
