getting errors in start/stop script

I had a similar problem using 2.0 on Ubuntu Server, when using a compiled 
version of Nagios. I think the start-stop-scripts made by make 
install-init dont work on any plattform. I worked around this problem by 
taking a script from a debian-package and adapted it to my situation.
