Linux and Windows file network check

Hello Everybody,
                I would like to check by Nagios the arrival of a file 
based on another server (based on windows 2000) upon the local network via 
check_fileage. What syntax to use in Suse ? How to open the network before 
this check ?  I'm too recent on Linux to know that. If anyone could answer 
me, thanks in advance.
