When I try to start/status nagios, it shows:

 PID TTY TIME CMD

Running configuration check...done
Stopping network monitor: nagios
/etc/rc.d/init.d/nagios: line 66: kill: (6093) - No
such process
Starting network monitor: nagios

Before it happens, i try to command nagios reload
because
my HOST is down although it STATUS is ok.

How can i bring back nagios to normal. It shows no
PID.

Upgrading just for the sake of having a newest version is probably silly.
