Mapping "Author" to auth name in CGI commands?

Is there any way to have the CGI change the default for "Author" from
Admin to the username that was used to authenticate access? This works
well in Zabbix, but maintaining accountability in Nagios relies on the user.

As is always the case, if it becomes too hard to do people get sloppy.
Not saying that typing in your username is difficult, bit it gets
not-done frequently :) I can't find this in the FAQ or google, and
seems as if it would be a common enough request... I've always wanted a
solution but never needed to ask until now.

Cheers,

/eli
