nagios web interface not working

Hi

I'm running nagios 1.2 on redhat linux
everything was working fine for a while, then the web interface
seemed to drop out for some reason

nagios.log shows nothing useful, can someone point me in the
right direction to fix this? i'd greatly appreciate it  as I'm a relative
newbie to nagios.
