That's your problem.  If your shell is that way, then clearly, no
privileges you grant through sudo will ever be usable as you can never
even login.

A better way would be to install an SNMP agent on your remote machines
and use the many Nagios SNMP polling plugins to check these parameters.
Bonus: they'll even work for polling things like routers and other
SNMP-enabled devices.
