unable to view service detail

Hello,

I am having a rather peculiar problem with nagios. When I start nagios 
and try to view the Service Detail it says that I do not have permission 
to view information about any of the services. However, after I click on 
the refresh button several times the page comes up correctly. This 
problem persists every time I try to come back and view the services.

Also, when I view the Host Detail page I get information from an old 
configuration I had when I was first experimenting with nagios (about a 
month ago). This configuration file no longer exists, however.

I noticed that whenever I start Nagios, at least two Nagios daemons are 
spawned. I don't know if this is supposed to happen or not, but the web 
interface behaves as if there could be interference from multiple 
instances of Nagios.

If anyone has experienced a problem similar to this, or has any idea 
about what could be wrong, I would greatly appreciate your input.
