Email service and host notification question.

most of the linux distro come with atleast one MTA "sendmail", nagios 
will use the local MTA for sending notifications.
So you don't have to do much for configuring sendmail, just installing 
sendmail and running the daemon would be enough for nagios to send 
notification via email.
