Sure, not a problem.

1)Correct, system only has 1 CPU.
2)I downloaded the WMI core and now the disk check works like it should.

hi Paul,

Thanks for the feedback,
Could you please answer some questions for me so that I can apply a
patch to next version to make it more complient with NT4.X

1) the problem with CPU Load-
Your system does not have multiple processors so the performance
counter does not hace any instances.
is this correct?

2) USEDDISKSPACE fails to access WMI correctly.
To diagnose this I would need you to double check if WMI was installed
on systems prior to 2000 WMI was not preinstalled in the OS. This
link will take you to the Microsoft download page for WMI:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=18490

If WMI is already installed, then we need to check it manually: this
can be done through NC_Net or some other tools. Copied to the NC_Net
directory is a console program for examining and searching WMI,
however the tool is kind of difficult to use, I created it and used it
extensivly to get some of the checks running in NC_Net. the Used disk
space uses the freespace and size variables from the win32_logicaldisk
(the exact spelling of these is in the documentaiton or the technical
readme. )

I am suspecting WMI core needs to be installed to fix the Diskspace issue,
as for the CPU if the problem is becasue it is a singleprocessor
system not having the (_Total) instance of processor then I will have
to add a variable to the startup for it.

NOTE: the newest version of NC_Net and check_Nt(with nc_net
enhancements) has better response time. A reorganized help(in
check_NT) and Enumeration commands for most things ( services,
processes, NC_Net configurations, ...)

you can check your version with these commands:
 ./check_nt -V
check_nc_net (nagios-plugins 1.4) 1.18
 ./check_nt -H ????????? -v CLIENTVERSION
NC_Net 2.21 03/13/05

thanks in advance for trying NC_Net
